Nostra Drum Provisions drums are hand-built in Brisbane, Australia using world class solid cast alloys such as Aluminium, Brass, Copper and Stainless Steel. Machined and refined to exacting build specifications and tolerances, these drums can ensure delivery of the most consistent tunings and feel so you can be confident in knowing your sound will be the best it possibly can each and every strike!

All drums are fitted out with a selected variety of top-shelf hardware from Independent Drum Lab, Pearl, Hendrix and of course some of our very own designed and manufactured components.

These drums are the product of Ben Maida and Matt Labedzki, hand-built at Brisbane Drums. Each drum is carefully crafted and assembled using the best materials from Australian and local family owned businesses, with all drums featuring the “Free Flow” air vent system designed and conceptualised by Matt, that serves to allow a zero resistance and naturally guided pathway for internal air pressure to exit the drum without that classic “whistle” heard on traditional 90 Degree vents, plus it also looks great too!

Every shell is refined with internal textured finishes to promote minor dissipation of unwanted swirling overtones, cut with a standard 45/45 bearing edge and 2-2.5mm 6-8” snare beds, there’ll always be a reliable, crisp and easily attainable musical tone from each drum no matter what tension or head choice you prefer.

All shells will feature a brushed outer surface with clear coat lacquer or natural local beeswax to protect the sheen and reduce patina oxidisation time of the outer shell.

Also featured on each build as standard will be Ultrasound or Fatcat series wire sets, custom coloured nylon strapping, anodised Nostra Lug Locks, coloured Hendrix Sleeved Washers, Remo or Evans USA heads, 3mm stick saver hoop or zinc die cast traditional hoops with matching Chrome, Brass or Black Nickel hardware fitted to each drum with stainless steel fixtures.

No stone has been left unturned with the creation and thought that’s in each and every build.

Available in solid cast 13” and 14” diameters from 6”-8” depth in each alloy.
